trouble with quests - Guild Wars Forums

i am having trouble with the following quests:

fires in the north.
fires in the east.
the red cloak deserter.
the troublesome artifact
garfazz bloodfang
the charr patrol.

only one has a green arrow (charr patrol ) and even then it goes to a blank spot on the map . (illkeep looking).
the others dont have direction.
the fires tell of a direction, but i am a little confused. any advice?

i just did the fires one from baradin as well as bloodfang and althea (first quest not ashes)

arrows for all of them but you have to be in the breech or the lowlands to get the arrow

redcloak is in a different zone altogether so just jump from city to city and go outside the city to check if you get an arrow when you click on the quest

havent done the others

edit
also your main map has a marker on it as well (nice big green blot)
